As I boarded my Air New Zealand flight I was greeted with true Kiwi hospitality. I quickly settled into my Business Premier seat and knew the next 14 hours would be very comfortable. My lie flat seat, the individual screen of entertainment with noise cancelling headphones and a menu with a range of snacks and premium wines. I should mention the memory foam mattress, 2 pillows and cozy duvet made me feel snug as I settled in my seat for a good night’s rest after a freshly prepared dinner.

Embarking on a Virgin Voyages cruise has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. It all began in Athens, where I spent a day immersed in the rich history of the Acropolis, Parthenon, Agora, and Temple of Zeus. Despite the heat, the awe-inspiring sights were worth every moment.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of boarding a magnificent cruise ship, knowing that the next week will be filled with sun-soaked days, endless laughter, and unforgettable experiences. My recent 10-day adventure to California and the Mexican Riviera aboard the NCL Bliss was exactly that—a perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and indulgence.

Day 1:Perth, A good day deserves a good breakfast so bacon toast and grilled tomatoes it was. Then we set off to tour the city sights. We visited the Swan River and all its best monuments where Kim and I had a little fun. We even got all the ladies to join us for a game of hopscotch.

Day 1: The Adventure Begins

My Australian adventure has begun, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! After a day of travel and an overnight stay in Hervey Bay, I ventured to K’Gari Island, previously known as Fraser Island, which is a world heritage listed site.

I arrived at 6:15am at Sydney International airport, cleared customs before meeting my driver for my private transfer to the Four Seasons Sydney Hotel. Dropped my bags, used the Endota Spa to freshen up and by 9:00am I was having breakfast at the Park Hyatt Hotel with a stunning view of the Sydney Opera House.

As I sit here and reminisce about my recent adventure to Lizard Island, I can’t help but be filled with an overwhelming sense of awe and gratitude. This enchanting corner of the world, nestled in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, has left an indelible mark on my soul. The Three Sisters are an unusual rock formation on the northern escarpment of the Jamison Valley. Located near the town of Katoomba, they are one of the Blue Mountains’ best-known landmarks, towering above the valley.

My journey to Darwin, Australia, and the enchanting wilderness of Bamurru Plains was an adventure like no other. As I stepped off the plane into the tropical embrace of Darwin, the anticipation of the experiences ahead filled the air.

Day 1: Exploring the Heart of KauaiAloha, fellow travelers! Our 5-day adventure in Kauai has just begun, and we are off to an exhilarating start. Today, we immersed ourselves in the island’s lush beauty, starting with a visit to the enchanting Smith’s Fern Grotto. As we floated down the Wailua River, the emerald fern-covered walls seemed to whisper ancient tales of this Hawaiian paradise.

I find myself on a plane to Melbourne, and it’s quite a surreal experience. As a travel agent, I’ve had my fair share of adventures, but this one is something truly special. We’ve chosen to stay at the Crown Towers, and from our room, we’re treated to a breathtaking view of the city, with the river gently meandering through it. As if that wasn’t enough, we have exclusive club access, and the check-in process was a delight in itself, accompanied by an exquisite espresso martini that set the tone for our stay.
